Selection Procedure for Different Positions in Different Departments
Tier I Written Examination (Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions/ Object Multiple Choice Type Questions)

There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Tier 1 Exam 2016.
In Tier II Exam, there will a negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-II and 0.50 Marks in Part-I and Paper III for each wrong answers.
SSC CGL Tier-II Results 2016-17
After the successful completion of Written Exam and Personal Interview (PI)/ Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)/ Skill Test (ST)/ Document Verification (DV), wherever applicable, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will declare the All India Merit List (AIML) for each and every category of the vacant posts prior to allotting them to the posts under ‘X’, ‘Y’ & ‘Z’.
Staff Selection Commission will also recommend many candidates who have qualified in the examination for appointment for each category of the posts up to the number of vacant posts available. SSC will also take into consideration the option for the available posts.
Candidates will be recommended by Commission in the Merit List on the basis of Aggregate Marks obtained by applicants in the written exam and personal interview (wherever applicable). The preference chosen by candidates in the application form for different posts will also be considered.
Candidates who belong to OBC, SC, ST and PH Categories will also be selected on their own merit list without relaxed standards, along with the candidates who also belong to other communities, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacant posts. Candidates who belong to OBC, SC, ST and PH category will be accommodated against the General/ Unreserved vacancies in post as per their position in Overall SSC CGL Tier 2 Merit List 2016 or vacancies earmarked for their respective category, whichever is more suitable for them.
Candidate with Physical Disabilities (OH/HH/VH) who successfully qualifies the Commission’s Exam under General Category standards could get an appointment against an Unreserved vacancy provided the post is identified suitable for the Candidate with Disability of relevant category.
SSC CGL Tier-II Online Merit List 2016-17
Candidates will be able to download the SSC CGL Tier 2 Merit List 2016 after the declaration of Tier II examination result. Staff Selection Commission will upload the merit list on its official web portal in a pdf format file. Candidates who are Ex-Serviceman or Physically Handicapped (OH/HH/VH) Category qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards i.e. Qualifications or Experience, Permitted number of chances in the written exam, Age Limit, extended zone of consideration etc is to be considered against the Reserved vacancies and not in General Vacancies as per subject to fitness of such aspirant for selected in this exam.

How SSC Will Resolve TIE Cases
All the TIE Cases in SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam 2016 will be resolved by applying one after another, as applicable till the TIE Case is resolved.
